Bucket Crew Interview - Nino, a Bucket Crew Member from Georgia

Q. Could you introduce yourself?

Hello, I’m Nino from Georgia. My MBTI is INTJ, so I’m naturally an introvert. However, spending a lot of time with the Bucket members helped me quickly bond with them. I really enjoyed sharing and learning about different cultures with people from all over the world. Another unforgettable experience was exploring Jeju together, which taught me so much. Despite my introverted personality, this time showed me that I could form meaningful relationships in a new environment.

Q. What motivated you to apply for the Bucket Crew?

“Living in Jeju for a month” had been a dream on my bucket list for a long time. This summer, I finally made it happen. Initially, I planned to stay for just a month, but I became completely captivated by Jeju and the people I met here. By the end of my planned stay, I extended it to two months.

Before joining Bucket, I had many concerns about my career and future plans. However, conversations with other participants allowed me to share worries and stories, which gave me a fresh perspective. Thanks to my time in Jeju, I’ve come to understand myself better and am now able to make more informed decisions about my future.

 Q. How would you summarize your life as a crew member?

This experience allowed me to step back from the fast-paced everyday life and reflect on myself. Living in Jeju gave me time to re-evaluate my goals and what I truly value. It also helped me embrace a slower, more relaxed approach to life. For me, relaxation meant finding peace of mind. This time allowed me to rediscover myself, who I might have neglected while focusing solely on work and career, and to gain a new perspective on life.

Q. Could you share a memory that stands out the most?

The most memorable experience was the day we went fishing and stargazing with the program participants. Fishing was not only thrilling but also made special by the laughter and conversations we shared.

Watching shooting stars and gazing at the night sky was also an unforgettable moment. Looking up at the stars with the members was magical. These memories remind me of the beauty of simple happiness and the importance of appreciating the present.

Q. Any recommendations for others?

Becoming a Bucket Crew member is a great opportunity to escape the busy city life, reflect on yourself, and find genuine rest. It’s not just about relaxing; it’s also a time to connect with people from around the world and form meaningful friendships. For anyone looking for a purposeful break or a new perspective, I highly recommend this experience. Here, you’ll have the chance to grow, recharge, and rediscover what truly matters.
