Q. Could you introduce yourself?
Hello, I’m Stella.
When I was young, I needed an English name for my academy, and I chose "Stella" because it means "to live like a shining star." I usually enjoy spending time quietly, but I also love talking to people who have walked different paths from mine. Because of this, I tend to get along with various people easily. Recently, I realized that I’m quite a passive person. I think it’s because I’m not used to reaching out first or expressing myself, and it might be due to a sense of fatigue. Haha. But nowadays, I’m trying to make an effort to reach out to people I care about and check in on them 😊
Q. What made you join Bucket?
For a while, I was整理ing the work I had been doing and reconsidering my career path when I came across a month-long living program in a new area. That’s when I discovered the Bucket Jeonju Working Holiday program. Having already experienced Bucket as a guest through Bucket Holiday in Jeju, I felt it was time to stay in Jeonju and have a different experience. The traditional atmosphere of Jeonju and the cultural exchange with people from various backgrounds felt refreshing. I was particularly fascinated by the place where Korea’s old traditions blend so naturally with the lives of foreign visitors. Staying at the Jeonju Bucket Camp, which is conveniently located to enjoy cultural activities, I was able to fully immerse myself in the charm of Jeonju. Thanks to this experience, Jeonju has become even more special to me.
Q. What was life like at Bucket Crew?
I would describe my time at Bucket in one word: "connection." It’s a place where people with different values from different regions and countries come together to share their stories of life. Here, you can reflect on your own priorities and take time to think, "What’s really important in my life?" This time for reflection is one of the attractions of Bucket, and the experiences and challenges create precious memories for everyone.
Q. What are your plans for the future?
Next year, I’m preparing for a working holiday in Australia, so my goal is to improve my English skills before I go. In the longer term, I hope to turn my passion for content into a career, so I plan to focus more on content creation and managing my personal social media. Above all, I remind myself that there is no such thing as a "perfect goal," and I’m ready to take on various challenges without fear. I want to keep finding ways to live a healthy and happy life with the people I love!
Q. Anything else you'd like to say?
After living in Jeonju for a while, I realized that Jeonju is truly a wonderful place to live! The nights in Jeonju are so romantic, and with stylish music pubs and local shops scattered all around, it was so enjoyable to take walks. Even Lou, a French crew member I stayed with, said that if he comes to Korea next year, he’d love to visit Jeonju again. Although I have to return to Seoul, I believe the memories from Jeonju will stay with me for a long time. I’m really grateful to Apel for opening up this wonderful opportunity, and I hope Jeonju Bucket remains a place for cultural exchange for many people.
